Critique
Over time I would like to shine a spotlight on each of the members of this community. It’s a small part of why I set it up. Hence we met Sarah Morris, and I got to celebrate one of her stories. My last post was a celebration of one of Howard Coward’s stories.
I’d also like to gradually create a few opportunities for critiquing. This is where we have early drafts of a text, and the author can receive a bit of feedback on what works for the reader, and which elements they might want to consider working on further, perhaps to expand on them, or because they were a bit confusing. That’s a considered critique. It is never about ripping something to shreds like an excited terrier with some wrapping paper. It’s a supportive and considered response from friends. Not just any old friends, but friends that have some knowledge of (and interest in) putting words together.
